Humboldt Hospice Hard Working Volunteers

Hello, my name is Gloria "Gay" Thomas. After personally experiencing the impact that hospice made in my time of darkness, I knew that I would become an HVH volunteer. I've humbly been providing help to others since 2011

The Frugal Flamingo Thrift Shop
"Re-found Treasures for People who have Everything"

                                                                                          mission & vision

We will increase awareness of Hospices Mission in Humboldt county and continue to explore new avenues for additional funding for Hospice so that advocacy and services for clients can be strengthened.

-We will continue our commitment to you as a shopper to be the BEST in Thrift - in merchandise selection, store environment and service.
-We will provide growth opportunities for all our team members including those with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
-We will expand our commitment to keep the planet green by continuing to keep excess waste out of the landfill and working with The Friends of MS Society to ensure our excess donations continue to go towards supporting other individuals as well as third world countries, we recycle as much as possible in our thrift store from reusing plastic bags to metal recycling items that can not be sold in our store we strive to waste as little as possible and recycle as much as we can.
-We will continue our mission and fulfil the promise that was made over  8 years ago to the people of Humboldt County and which still resounds as loudly today as it did then."...if you support us with your donations, we will help serve individuals and their families in our community who need Hospice support". Thank you for supporting The Frugal Flamingo Thrift Stores.ospice Volunteers have vision, work hard, have determination and dedication to do their best to help people in need.
